What might be nice is a way to semi-automatically build up a bounce list. I have a bounce list of my own, set up with those that I know keep sending me spam. It would be nice if I could easily have TMDA append (to a file) the senders that have more than a certain number of messages over a range of days outstanding in the pending queue. (I do see the PENDING_BLACKLIST_APPEND variable, but it seems to apply only to interactive mode, and I don't see any arguments for requiring a sender to appear a minimum number of times.) This would keep regular spammers out of the pending queue and might even scare a few of them away. (Those that watch for bounces.)

Just to add:

but between confirmed or released messages and spam that can't be
bounced, how many meaningful bounces will really get out?
I expect it to be a rare occurance indeed. But in the rare case where
someone didn't get around to replying to the confirmation request
within a reasonable period of time, for whatever reason, I think it's
important that they receive a 'proper' bounce.
