David--

I wasn't comfortable with the security issues involving the CGI
interface and the need to weaken the permissions/ownership on some
files for proper functionality.

Also, the idea of having to open a web browser to manage my e-mail is
lost on me. I find it more natural to manage my e-mail while reading
my e-mail, especially in situations where I read my e-mail remotely
over an SSH connection.

No web browser or web server required, no extraneous mouse movements,
no CGI security concerns, functionality across limited-bandwidth
connections. tmda-ezplm isn't intended as a replacement for tmda-cgi.
It's intended as a streamlined, more secure alternative. Basically,
it's something I wrote to scratch an itch I had, and decided to share
with the TMDA community.
