*Were you on IV steroids and then an oral taper? If you were on a long
term, high dose (Above 40mgs per day.) it takes a fairly long time. I used
60 mgs per day for two and a half years, and of course, in the midst of that
were all of the IV steroids. Whenever I tapered off, it was pretty
rough. Lots of moodswings and disturbed sleep, things like that. The
steroids left me with a lot of boneloss. I was osteoporotic within 6
months. They're no picnic, but if you have to have them---do it.*
