Yes Janice - that's the heat I feel.  From time to time, I will break out sweating just sitting in my recliner.  I get over-heated when I do something - even as simple as fixing a bowl of cereal in the morning.

I live alone so I do as much as possible, but that's very little, for myself - cooking (microwave mostly), laundry etc. gets done when possible.  I had someone come in and do the heavier housework - sweeping, laundry, dusting, scrubbing down the bathroom, etc. but since my LTD company stopped paying, those things get done when I can.  My 78 neighbor has come over several times - that's humiliating for me (I'm 18 years younger and my neighbor can run rings around me!)

Grocery shopping is a BIG choir for me - I usually manage to get the freezer/refrig. stuff in the house and put away but I'm sweating like I've ran all the way back from the grocery.  I bring in the other bags AFTER I've rested and had a nap.  Sometimes it takes me a couple of days to get everything in and put away - all in 15 minute burst of "energy", sweating and resting.  I've had clerks at the store ask me if I'm OK because just shopping makes me sweat profusely and my face is all red!

Anything physical causes the sweating and then other times its as if the part of the brain/spine cross and I just break out sweating just sitting!  I sweat from the shoulders up - and I need to wash my hair daily but some days I just don't have the energy!  Like I've said - there are nights I wake up drenched (from the shoulders up) and it takes hours to "cool" down and get back to sleep.

Sweating is just another "JOY" of TM - we have so many.  Sometimes I wish I could give some of the "JOY" to my WORST enemy - one of them my LTD company!

You all are describing more of a "painful" heat, but what I feel is more like a menopause heat flash - but it lasts longer, and it makes me very weak and light headed.    Anyone else feel that way?          Janice

Your words, Candy, are an echo of mine!! You could not have said it better.   I was going to send you a note, Lynne, but now there is no need!!Good to have us all start to come out of the woodwork, isn't it? :))  Jeanne in Dayton

Oh the joys of TM - yes I also have the same problem - our internal thermostats are also affected.  Once you go either direction, hot or cold, it seems like forever before it evens out.  I don't know how many times I've woke up sweating like a race horse and then the next minute I'm freezing and it takes forever to get back to sleep.  I know it's not menopause because that happened many a year ago and quit long before TM.

My legs burn like they have 2nd degree sunburn while my feet feel as if they are in an ice bucket!  The burning, itchy, stingy occurs all over the body for whatever reason.  It seems as if everyday its the same but different in different ways.

I don't know about anyone else but I have had problems with over heating since TM hit.  Seems like I am constantly putting on and taking off clothes.  Don't remember the last time I was able to crawl into bed and snuggle down under the covers without having to throw them off a couple of minutes later.  Also have a problem with feeling like the top two thirds of my back are on fire.
