I went to Mayo in Rochester about 5 years ago after I continued to have
intermittant weakness. I was just getting really frustrated and didn't
understand if I had recurrent or what. I also had some other issues (fertility,
etc...) so I wanted a comprehensive look. The visit changed my life. I got a
ton of info, was tested and looked at and just given peace of mind that I
wasn't recurrent but just TM and needed to step up PT and non weight bearing
exercise to build strength. I was told I did not need steroids every time I got
weak, as well. About 14 months after my visit, I had a baby. My stength overall
is so much better but I still have to pursue non weight bearing exercise
constantly or start to slide a bit....

Good luck!

Subject: [TMIC] Mayo Clinic

Has anyone gone to the Mayo Clinic for a work-up or 2nd opinion for any of
their problems?  If you did, what was the issue that you went there for and
were you satified with the outcomes?
