You can ask your PT what models she has used/liked, or what they use at the clinic and you can try one out. All NMES units have the same settings for muscle strengthening. Some have more pre-programmed options. I suggest getting one that does BOTH NMES and TENS. I have a combo machine which is easy to use and program. It's a bit fancier than I need but I got it from a company that sells off extra medical equipment/refurbished. Mine was new and worth $800, I paid $200.

How do you know which EMS unit to buy? I would like to try this on my trunk muscles because I think they are trying to work. Maybe they just need help waking up! I am getting into the pool for the first time the 20th of this month with my physical therapist. I am really excited and anxious to see if I can swim. I have a better attitude about my progress thanks to you all! Thank you for being here for me amanda _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live helps you keep up with all your friends, in one place. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9660826
