Janice:
my first episode was not identified, until my second episode, so I did not know.

I tried to play tennis after a two-year layoff and it happened right away.

no, I cannot play tennis, or any other sport,
but I'm good with that. I was lousy at it anyway!

take care everyone.

Carol,
I was told that TM hit like a tornado and we were left to care for the problems it left behind. All the word “transverse” means is that both sides of the spine were affected. It is the “myelitis” that delivers the bomb! It may be correct to say that TM struck, just like Polio, and we deal with the aftermath.

Subject: [TMIC] TM Question

I curious about the proper way to explain our affliction.
Do we currently have TM or we had it when we first became ill?
Is it like Polio? It came, crippled and you no longer have Polio, but you do have the destruction that it left behind.

Thanks for your help in explaining this to me.
