Couldn't agree with you more.  B&R worked fine in the setting of the
original cartoon, but they'd be seriously out of place in this one.  I mean,
in the 1st episode of this show, it was implied that Shredder either killed
that Purple Dragon guy, or at least had him banged up a little. B&R would be
gone in 1/2 an episode if that is any indication of Shred's tolerance for
failure.

 As for my "latest version" comment, merely meant "most current telling of
the story", not really saying it varied from the original origin, just that
it's the most recent telling. I said much the same thing. We'll be hearing
'bout Hamato Yoshi, etc. in future episodes.
