Yes, I do as well, see the resemblance, and even made mention to Tokka before when the show first premiered.

Personally, I hope they add the cops as a small portion of the show, you know? Sorta how Sam and twitch were to Spawn in some cases.  It'd be interesting to see where thye are gonna take those characters.  I have a feeling they are gonna be used alot in original episodes after we play catch up.  :-D
