GW:S C H P O I L E R
S C H P A C E (achtung!) Und gesundheit! * * * * *>* * * * * ah sweet-- we've got the Movie Casey/April relationship....!!
Raph:Heh, yeah. One minute it's all nice and sweet and you think "this couple is
going somewhere" then it's "Yep, they're going somewhere, all right, to the >>hospital...just a matter of which one tries to kill the other >>first" <G>
~Yeah-- snap crackle pop....I think I'm beginning to have faith that the writers are gonna hold the quality up throughout. Yay!
Anyone ever watch Night Court? Harry and Christine have this little squabble and Dan starts narrating, "This is the part in the movie where Doris says... this is the part where Rock says..." Good stuff.
~I used to really like that show-- loved John Laroquette or however he spells his name....
*snerfles* Yeah, it certainly wasn't the typical happy ending. Like
they said, Nano wasn't evil, just had a bad father. That last pitiful
"Daaaadddy" was almost heart wrenching! It was made all the worse by the>>knowledge that it was "Daddy" that actually finished off Nano...they made>>you feel sad for Nano and for his Daddy.
Yeah. Good stuff.
> Jeez, I hope the writing isn't TOO intelligent to stand the test of>>television ratings....
Here's hoping. I'd love to see almost 200 episodes of shows like this!
~Man, I'd buy it on DVD in heartbeat. I want the ones they've done so far *right now*! Gimme gimme!
From what Dan was saying, the ratings were pretty good for the first
episode...now they just have to keep the interest of those that tuned in out>>of curiousity. With writing like they've been doing, that >>shouldn't be a>>problem.
~Like I said, my only concern is that zingers like "myopic misogynist" are gonna fly right over the heads of the "target audience." But then, *we* are part of that target audience, I think. Broad base....
Yeah. And if my local stores' inability to keep Turtle toys on the shelves means anything... it's NOT a problem. And frankly, I know there are a lot of kids out there who don't mind NOT having their intelligence insulted once in a while.
~True....
Raph "> (now, if they could just do something about that theme song...it's>>still not growing on me)
That's why we have the mute button, Raphers. Thank goodness.
~Yeah, it doesn't make me run screaming for the kitchen, but I think I could write a better theme song...uh...if they'd like something that sounded like vintage Joan Baez...;o)
