SPOILERS BELOW>>>...

Oddly enough, this episode reminded me of AI ... and well, that movie just holds a special place in my heart.

A.I.: Artificial Intelligence is my favorite movie of all time.  The symbolism of the entire film is touching and yet tragic and this episode almost... well, did a good job of making me cry like I did during A.I.    The basic idea that David became... human by dying himself at the end, the human emotion itself, was nicely done, and the fact that the guy was weeping over the break, and not the child, was what was depressing.

I found it almost sickening that even at the end, the "daddy" was weeping over his lost chance ... his big break, rather than his surrogate child.

Exactly!

Yeah, Kid was kinda creepy, but overall I really felt bad for him. Right from the moment when his "mom" zapped him for having a personality.... GW's right, I think the writing IS a bit overly intelligent. But is that a bad thing??

Actually I couldn't agree more.  The show not only is holding my attention as 'an adult' but... is fulfilling my ideal of the TMNT toon, the hopes I had for it.  You know?  Even the theme is growing on me.  ;-)

But does anyone here think that maybe Casey Jones may need a new voice actor whenever he delivers a serious line?  The bits of him fighting April verbally and street fights are good, but everything else sounds TOO over the top to me.  Hm.  Maybe with time, I suppose.

Here's till next week!!
