You are right (there is a line with userid in
authinfo.c, but the error doesnt come from there).
I think its after line 25606 in the configure script.
But as i said ... i have no programming experience :)
It would be great, if you find time to have a look on
this.

I'm pretty sure it's coming from courierauthconfig, still checking
though. That's part of the courier-auth package.
