I have spent 50 of my 60 years in ham radio in pursuit of Topband.
Twenty of those years building a rather competitive low band station of
all verticals. I may or not make it until the next solar minimum and
lamenting the fact. Shy of three zones in WAZ from W7 land I have
achieved many of my personal goals. The antennas have become quite the
physical challenge. I would like to scale down but don't see any route
outside of Rent a Rig. Even with FT8 the last three would be nearly
impossible from the west coast as there is little or no activity..
