After seeing my own response, I realized that it may look like I am claiming to be part of Apache. I am not; I just have an email account I use to subscribe to Apache lists. I've changed the real name on the account to be less misleading.

I'm not associated with Apache in any way, I'm trying to learn these technologies too :)

This looks a little odd to me - I'd expect to see a classname here. Is the property name not getting replaced with the value for some reason?

What about your build.properties file? I'd try to do a " ant -f build-torque.XML jdbc" or some other ant task tomake sure the database is set up right.
