I thought about asking for confirmation, but then a "don't ask me again"
option should probably be added, to avoid bothering a user who doesn't want it
on every single sychronization. I'm not sure if this should then be a global
preference or repository-specific. Maybe global is easiest to implement?

As for setting it when cloning: currently, the clone gets the default path set,
the source repo doesn't. It makes sense when you clone from some central
repository, plus when you copy something it's expected that the source doesn't
change.

However, the scenario I get a lot is that I make a local repo, and then clone
it to a central location. (We do lots of small projects, plus we have the
conversion of existing projects to begin with.)

In that case, saving the central repo as the default sync location in the local
repo would make sense. But as said, if you would clone it from a central
location, you can't really do that. Perhaps we could first detect if the source
is on a local disk, and then ask for confirmation.
