Yes, that is troubling. No such environment variable. I know the file  
isn't even being read because I injected syntax errors. As to the  
registry, I can't say. What I do know is if I uninstall and reinstall  
0.8.1 things are happy again. NO changes to any of my files. :( An old  
registry key would surely muck up 0.8.1 as well?
