Just buy two USB drives of the same size. One for connecting to Touch to play music and one for safe tucked away backup. I have completely stopped using RAID. It has almost no purpose for home use anymore and as such is a complete waste of good hard drive space. One just needs to buy a big enough (or multiple) USB drive to cover backing up ones whole library. What is so mission critical in playing music that RAID needs to be used? Sure it can be thought of as the lazy mans backup to help safe guard data, but in the end in a total failure or burnt up server there is no backup so one might as well backup to USB drive and have a truly safe copy. Besides, really big USB drives are cheap now. -- iPhone *iPhone* Media Room: Transporter, VTL TL-6.5 Signature Pre-Amp, Ayre MX-R Mono's, VeraStarr 6.4SE 6-channel Amp, Vandersteen Speakers: Quatro Mains, VCC-5 Reference Center, four VSM-1 Signatures, Video: Runco RS 900 CineWide AutoScope 2.35:1 Living Room: Duet, ADCOM GTP-870HD, Cinepro 3K6SE III Gold, Vandersteen Model 3A Signature, Two 2Wq subs, VCC-2, Two VSM-1 Kitchen: Squeezebox BOOM Bedroom: Second Boom Bathroom: Squeezebox Radio Ford Thunderbird: Duet, Mac Mini Ford Expedition: SB Touch, USB drive ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iPhone's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13622 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68234 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
