Somehow I doubt that in your country it is a CRIMINAL offence. There may be CIVIL liability in some appropriate circumstances (which clearly don't apply to the instant issues of this thread because there is nothing wrong with the Touch, at least not on the scale you are complaining about), but not CRIMINAL. The difference is that civil penalties may involve fines, if at all, and criminal penalties may involve incarceration. But beyond that, in the United States, making threats of criminal prosecution to gain an advantage in a civil proceeding is itself a crime, namely the crime of extortion. I guess one remedy for Logitech if it were truly faced with such ridiculous bad faith threats would be to simply not sell in a country with such (hypothetical) draconian rules. There are previous examples of companies doing just that, e.g. Google pulling out of China. One of the previous poster's analogy to programming a VCR is a great post. And just returning it was also a great suggestion. Frankly, I wouldn't even dignify the original complaint with any helpful troubleshooting suggestions. -- mortslim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mortslim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11039 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78323 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
