Hi John Many thanks for your advice. I reformatted the harddrive and just put 3 sound files on it (aiff, m4v and mp3). I connected the drive, then started the server. When I go to the server status before accessing anything else, it shows "discovering files: complete" no more messages are coming up, now after 5 minutes already. So I just get one message instead of the three you are mentioning. What could be the problem?
