My point was that beyond a certain quality level there is very little
difference or no difference between digital transports these day's .
Pair that with bitperfect rips and where are these $$$ digital
transports ?
This is progress but would stereophile or it's readers acknowledge this
?

They want to relish in $$$ digital cables and "stuff" like quantum
purifiers ;)

what would the criteria be for grading digital transports that are the
same ;) price or high end looks or what ? Surprised that someone not
yet managed to stick a tube inside a digital transport ?

The Touch as digital transport would be graded against other digital
transports if get stereophiles rating system right a class A thing
would be one of the best of it's kind .But in digital transports this
would be less meaningful than it once was. Also consider modern DAC's
and processors very resilient against "bad" transports.

So yea Touch = A-D (Digital -Analog)

Analog is another deal here is differences that can be heard, that are
meaningfull to rate and grade .
I would like a third rating for "product quality" I suppose part of the
rating reflects that nowadays to . Product quality has many dimensions
but that would be another post.
