Look here : http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=13890 The devs don't really know why, yet . But they have to make it work for all supported sample rates . The default works with all sample rates the products support. But still should they really have an audible impact ? to low buffers seems to make it click and pop suggesting that you actually drop bits .
