Nope. The screen gets pretty much knocked out. This is what makes the difference to the screen-off screensaver. (The touchscreen surface though is currently still active! Perhaps I'm gonna find that "switch" one day.) Currently I havn't even managed to get the screen turned back on without doing a reboot.
