how are planning to configure your NAS or load files on to it without
conection to the rest of your network ?

You can configure the Touch for static network if you turn of the dhcp
server or conect it to something that does not have any.

using multiple dhcp on a network is never good.

placing NAS and Touch at the same switch migth be good if the NAS is
silent enough .

ethernet over powerline adapters, but still using a switch at the Touch
end , switches are dirt cheap and squeezeboxes are known to sometimes
not play well with powerline adapters directly, if your NAS is silent
you could have them together and they both get internet acess this
way.

NAS use one with an x86 cpu , not the cheapest and slowest ones, then
you migth use the Touchs Tiny SBS anyway.

or if you get ethernet powerline adapters to perform well, you migth
consider running sqeezeboxserver on one of your regular computers, that
would be the simpliest aproach
