I think you'll like the SBT. I certainly like all 3 of mine (and my many other SB players). Why not just get the SBT, connect a 1TB drive to it for the music and see how it works for you. (many people get this working just fine with the right USB drive (single partitions, own power, etc.)). Sounds like if this works OK for you you'd be happy except for the playlist limit. But if you're like me, you'll want the full use of all the bells and whistles, and this requires a server of some sort. This doesn't have to be a giant computer. Can be a fitpc2 (size of a paperback book), a vortexbox appliance, or any old PC running the vortexbox OS. Lots of options. But bottom line, is that you need the SBT with all of them, so no loss in getting it and playing around with just the SBT and a USB drive to get started. -- garym ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88247 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
