a $50 (or free) junk PC that still works can be a server as long as you have enough disk space for music files. Install Vortexbox ISO on it, stick it in a closet where it is connected via ethernet to your router (or a switch that is ultimately connected back to your router). No monitor or keyboard needed, operate from web GUI from any computer on network. Or if you prefer windows, can still be headless, just access it via remote desktop.
