The new router needs to be setup as a pure access point rather than as a router so everything will be on the same subnet. You CAN play music through a router but the auto discovery routines (the server and player finding each other) do not work between subnets.
On many routers you can make it work as an access point by connecting the ethernet to one of the LAN ports rather than to the WAN port and then it just works (the LAN ports are usually bridged to the wireless port). You DO need to make sure that DHCP is turned off for the LAN and wireless ports, not just for the WAN port.
