Doesn't have to be at 100% for either one. Many folks who understand all this technology better than me believe it is ok so long as the volume on the TOUCH is at about 70% or higher. The volume adjustment in the touch (and other SB players) is done in 24 bits so it is very good quality digital volume control. Myself (for both analog and digital), I set the volume on my preamp such that if the TOUCH volume is 100% this is a bit louder than I would ever play under normal circumstances. That way, I can adjust volume up or down with ipeng app on my iphone and not drop it below 70%. -- garym Location 1: Vortexbox Appliance 6TB (1.10) > SbS 7.6.2 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) Location 2: Win7(64) laptop > SbS 7.6.2 > Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio and laptop) Retired: SB3, Duet Receiver Controlled at both locations with: iPhone (iPeng), iPad (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.6 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Additional Tagging - mp3tag ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91201 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
