For analog not to low as gary described (have decent gainstaging). Digital has some other concerns.
I already have one digital volume controll in my preamp/processor and I have >1500 24 bit files. So I want bit perfect transmission to my hifi ( fixed volume and no crossfade or replaygain ). In rare cases i stream dts or ac3 packaged in flac or wav files, they must also be bitperfect for the decoder to pick it up. Volume controll work both the digital out and analog and headphone out. all outputs are active simultainiusly o you can conect both and try. NOTE ! Volume may be different between an analog input and a digital input on such amp, if you want to compare try to do it by dailing the volume so they sound equally loud ( difference less than 0,5 dB ) -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
