There is a problem with this, there is a watchdog timer on the Touch, if you don't run squeezeplay (the main SB program) the watchdog times out and the machine reboots.
Soundchack has a way to turn off the watchdog in his Touch Tool Kit. Go search the net for TT3.0, download it and look through what's there to find the way he disables the watchdog. If you are going to download a compiled binary it should be compiled for arm11.
