I'm new to EDO so their may be many ways, but the easy way I do this for me was to connect the Coax to my A/V receiver and it simply displays my input frequency. I did this to verify 192 was indeed coming out the SBT. Normally I have Coax connected to my DAC and TOSLINK connected to my A/V receiver. So I always see the sampling rate displayed on my receiver, even though I am actually listening to the Coax connected DAC. This allows for easy verification that I am listening to a HiDef track, for instance. This, of course, does not work at 192Khz (out of TOSLINK spec)...so a cable swap was necessary to do this for that test.
