i want to be able to use the SBT (with the EDO) as a pre-amp using the volume on the SBT to control the volume heard as I will be connecting the SBT to a DAC via Digital Coax (no volume control on the DAC) and the DAC to an amp via XLR. my question is, will the audio be degraded or will resolution be degraded/lost if i use the volume on the SBT to do this? my goal is to completely remove my pre-amp from the line-up and go straight out of the DAC with audio going straight into an amp.
