True. But there is a way around that. First install the Patch Installer (through the applet installer). Next install the Reduce Screensaver Brightness patch (though the patch installer). This patch allows you to set both maximum and minimum brightness. I also use this patch to have a brighter screen when the Touch is playing in a low light environment.
