IIRC The Podcast plugin in Extras is no longer supported as was just kept for transition around 7.5. The Podcast app in App gallery is the officially supported way to play podcast. IIRC if you have installed the App and enabled the plugin - you can have problems. Part of the problem I think is the "Extras" menu on Squeezeplay devices - I think only 3rd party plugin only use the menu.
