Then you're already NOT using the Touch's DAC. You are instead using the Denon's DAC. And if you add a DAC in between the TOUCH and the Denon, it will still be using the Denon DAC unless the Denon has a pure analog pass-thru capability (and as pointed out, many AV receivers do NOT have this option). p.s. I have a Benchmark DAC I (which is a highly rated DAC) connected to one of my Touch players. In a (single) blind test, I can't detect which DAC is being used (touch vs benchmark). I agree that the Touch DAC seems quite good. (the main reason I'm using the Benchmark is so that I can use the BALANCED ANALOG OUTs of the Benchmark instead of the unbalanced analog out (rca) of the TOUCH. *Home:* VortexBox 4TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.8 > Squeezelite *Spares:* Touch(3), Radio(3), Boom, SB3, CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone6 & iPadAir2 (iPeng8 & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpoweramp > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103285 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
