Fixed in CVS (both single and double quotes work). However, note that
the shell also processes quotes, so in order to use -x like this you need
to write:
transcode -x mplayer='"-vf eq2=0.9,pp=dr"',mplayer
or
transcode -x mplayer="'-vf eq2=0.9,pp=dr'",mplayer
