That is a good reason. I wonder of AutoGK on windows does that to make sure the file size matchs what you ask it too. I've also though that the script could be confusing the frame rate when it calculates the bitrate to get the filesize. Some dvd's and VOBs have different framerates encoded for different parts of the film. For instant season 1 of SG-1 has the live action recorded at 29fps while the special effects and space shots are recorded at 23fps. I'm not sure why they do that but it drives my dvd player nuts.
