someone once asked me question that i found very difficult to answer
although i then did my best as i felt God directed me, this woman
shared her life situation and she is in a marriage where the husband
is the bread winner and he gets to handle all the finances if its
about buying food he brings the meat for the day when comes in the
evening, the same goes for all other house hold items, she gave me the
impression that no money what so ever passes through her hands in her
marriage. But then she happened to attend a church a service where the
Pst taught on giving and tithing now this woman felt she needed to
tithe, but then her question was from what? Her heart is so eager to
give and tithe but due to circumstances out of her control she is un
able to.

My advice to her was that God sees the heart of a person He is very
aware of your heart desire and you are under no condemnation. I also
encouraged her not to focus on only giving and tithing finances only,
but to also give her life and time as an offering to God. One can
tithe of their time out of the 24hrs in day how about tithing 10% of
that in devotion to God in either worshipping, studying the
scriptures, listerning to or watching sermons etc and also doing godly
deeds like ministering the gospel to those within your sphere of
influence.
