Formats aren't software, being able to read patented formats does not take away your freedom, although some patented formats have been reverse-engineered so that they could be read with free software. Many patents have expired such as for GIF, and in many places outside the US of A these silly software patents are mostly irrelevant. Why would you want to remove support in Libreoffice for DOC files? These is the most commonly-used document format! It is all free software so unless you want pain and awkwardness by not being able to read many other people's documents, that is a silly idea! Digital restrictions are maybe what you are confusing here, but including support for a patented format is not the same thing as restricting you. If anything it is great that LibreOffice can read almost all formats because then it makes it easy for people to switch! Also libdrm is not a "digital restrictions" library! It is a crucial component for graphics: direct rendering manager! That would be really silly to remove this crucial library! Alos gNewSense is hopelessly outdated which is very worrying from a security stand-point. Don't leave Trisquel!
I hope this helps!
