I don't see how the condition of a distro's forum means a distro is dead.
I mean, you sound like one of those "is slackware dead" posts (it's not, they just update their news very, very, very, very seldom - that plus they don't even run a forum
(that said I'm on Slackware at the moment so...yeah)
