[quoted lines by Matthew Campbell on August 1, 2000, at 19:41]

>comma or left arrow: back 6 seconds
>period or right arrow: forward 6 seconds
>less-than or up arrow: back 1 minute
>greater-than or down arrow: forward 1 minute
>9 or page-up: back 10 minutes
>0 or page-down: forward 10 minutes
>left parenthesis or home: beginning of clip
>right parenthesis or end: end of clip with automatic pause
>left bracket: previous clip
>right bracket: next clip
>left brace: first clip
>right brace: last clip

I like it.

>p: pause or resume playback (formerly control-p)

Is the toggle really preferred, or would it perhaps be better to let 'p' be
"pause" and 'r' be "resume"?

>q: quit (formerly stop, control-s)
>Q (capital): quiet mode toggle (formerly q)

I think it's a bit risky to assign the same key (q) to a fairly benign function
(quiet) and a very potent function (quit) unless the potent function is the
harder one to invoke. This would mean that quit should be uppercase, and that
quiet should be lowercase.

What I would personally prefer, however, is to use different keys. This could
be done by turning "quiet" into "silent", which would then let "quit" be 'q'
and "silent" be 's'.
