Yes, if you put the right stuff into your /etc/conf.modules file. You need
entries like:

   alias char-major-14 soundcore
   alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
   alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
   alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
   alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
   alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
   alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss
   post-install snd-mixer-oss /usr/bin/aumix -f /etc/.aumixrc -L
   pre-remove snd-mixer-oss /usr/bin/aumix -f /etc/.aumixrc -S
   post-install snd-pcm-oss echo >/proc/asound/0/pcmD0o "Playback sox 0 0 non-block"
   post-install snd-seq-oss /bin/sfxload /etc/midi/GU11-ROM.SF2
