BTW, David, I'm pretty amazed that you have delivered your own babies! Do
you have any helpers? (Caroline is one BRAVE woman!) Izzy

Well, I'm certainly not supporting Homo Pride Day! ... unless the Spirit
moves upon me to go preach there, and because it is private property, it
would have to be the Lord to move me to do that. :-)

I'm not big into the boycott thing that some Christians do. In certain
contexts it has merit, kind of like giving a kid candy for memorizing a
Bible verse. But at the root of it, a boycott uses the love of money to
shape behavior, so it really isn't a pure methodology. Preaching the
truth and rebuking sin is a more honorable way, imo.

When my wife was pregnant with our first child, we were shocked to find
our doctor's name on a prayer list someone in our church was
distributing concerning doctors who performed abortions. My immediate
reaction was that we had to drop this man and find another doctor.
However, we had already done many prenatal visits and formed a
relationship with a Christian midwife there. This was at a birthing
center, and we really wanted the home atmosphere, not a hospital, and
there were not that many options. Midwives by themselves were having a
lot of legal problems being able to practice. This birthing center was
the only birthing center with a doctor. So... I prayed about it and saw
that we were not supporting this doctor in doing abortions. Rather, we
were supporting him in helping bring life into the world. Furthermore,
we would be a witness to him if we continued in relationship with him,
but if we just walked away, we would, in effect, be encouraging him to
do more abortions to make up for the loss of income from helping people
like my wife and I. So, we decided to schedule an appointment to talk
with our doctor about it. We shared our abhorrence about finding his
name on a list in our church of men who murdered babies. We told him it
made us very uncomfortable. He understood and said he would understand
if we decided not to continue with him. Well, we prayed about it more
and felt like we should continue. I still remember the delivery time,
how the man had to put up with my wife and I singing worship songs to
the Lord. I think we made the right decision to stay with him, and
continue to let our light shine. With my subsequent children, the Lord
led me to deliver them myself at home, so I was never in this kind of
situation again. :-)

Now about the Homo Pride Day. Disney does not sponsor it. What happens
is the Homo's just plan to be there that day, wearing a red tee shirt or
whatever. They have times where they meet together at rides and stuff
like that.

Disney does sponsor, on the other hand, Night of Joy, which is for two
nights, where Christians take over the entire park and have Christian
music groups performing live all over the place.

Disney also has benefits for homo's, and that is a bad thing. My wife's
sister works for Disney. She is single (was married, but doesn't
believe in remarriage after a divorce) and can bring three other people
into the park for free. However, if she were married, or if she had a
lesbian lover living with her, she could get six people into the park.
Seems like she is getting the short end of the stick for not being a
homo. She would love to bring all her nieces (my five daughters) with
her into the park at the same time, but because she doesn't have a
live-in girl friend, she can't. Kind of sad when you see homosexuals
being favored over those living the single life.

Peace be with you.
