I would think anything that would cause the person you want to approach to put some distance between them and you, would be counter productive. But I'm not sure why I should try to help you folks by pointing out the obvious. > DaveH, you seem to indicate that you wear the underwear. DAVEH: I'm a little reticent about discussing such after what has happened in SLC, and the fact that some of those participants are pretty close to TT. I don't think I'm particularly interested in becoming a target for ridicule beyond what I normally experience here. > I only hear the street > preachers' side. DAVEH: While I have just said I don't particularly wish to become a vulnerable target (discuss this), let me do say I'm not particularly embarrassed by the street preachers doing what they were doing with our holy garments. (However, I speak that as one who did not witness the events in person.) However, I do feel embarrassment for purportedly Christian people who stoop to such behavior in the name of Jesus. I think it is a sad commentary for Christians the world over, who may be tainted by what a few whackos are doing in SLC a couple times a year. I wonder how many non Christians view these acts of stupidity and then use it as a broad paint brush to color all Christians with the same negative impression. Do street preachers ever fully consider the impact of what they are doing on those bystanders who might misunderstand their intent??? > Peace be with you. > David Miller, Beverly Hills, Florida. > > ---------- > "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you > ought to answer every man."
