DaveH, if you could look at the Romans 5 passage that I shared again, and forget about what death is. My entire question was to determine whether or not Adam's TRANSGRESSION of eating the forbidden fruit is called SIN. I believe that passage establishes that fact. You alluded to other sinS that Adam may have done, but the passage uses the word "offense" in the singular and clearly is talking about that one sin which plunged mankind and all of creation into death.
