Marlin, So true! Perhaps the “reporters” are those who haven’t gotten past the superficial meaning of scripture, and can only quote it AT you to prove their point, all the while not seeing the deeper meaning of it. We can’t sneer at those people; it is the “infant” stage which is so necessary to grow through to adulthood. We have ALL been there. And I believe there are ever-deeper levels of understanding of the Word—we can never fully plumb the bottom of that well.
