No, I didn't mean that.  I just don't think that you should assume that they are Christians just because they talk about hope for someone burning in hell.
DAVEH:  I allowed in a previous post that some may speak such out of anger, even if they aren't Christian.  However, there have been a lot of folks who have made such statements who proclaim being Christian.  I posted the URL to one such yesterday.
  I would agree with you that there have been Christians who have hoped for their enemies to burn in hell.
DAVEH:   So I'm not sure why any TTers would take exception when I suggest that there are Christians who are eager for people to be consigned to the burning torture of hell.  What have I said that is in error?   I really don't think it is a rare occurrence to hear professed Christians say such things.  And, I'd be very surprised if you do think it is rare.

If you back up to pre Christian times, you will find that king David felt the same way at times, even though he was often compassionate.
