Please JD stay focused.  What I don't know how to do is ask a series of questions which lead
someone to a predetermined place.  Anyone can be a Kasper Milquetoast anytime, that's no
big deal but it's not love either.

Nothing is taken out of context.   When you say "I don't know how to do that "  (in refering to Terry's mild mannered challenge to you to act in a less harsh manner and allow for the sincerety of those with whom you desagree)  ............   you are denying the leading of the Spirit  (Phil 2:12-13).   Don't get me wrong, here  --   we all have our moments of denial;   this just happens to be yours.

Regarding  your questioning of  Terry   so are you saying that it's OK to dispense spiritual poison so long as one is nice, polite, and dosen't offend anyone?  Given the choices "yes" or  "no,"  is there anyone on TT who does not know how Terry Clifton would answer this question?   I submit that there are none  -   thus the redundancy to which I referred.

Your recent exchange with Gary gives evidence of just how impatient many are becoming with the negativism.   Terry disagrees with much that G presents.  No problem.  Quoting Bobby D and receiving a "gibberish" response is one thing   -   quoting Bobby D and being accused of worshipping or serving outside the grace of God is quite a different matter.   Gary got tired of it  --  we all do.

Can't you accept this criticism as coming from honest and concerned hearts?   I have been corrected more than once.   It is not easy to take.   But if we keep denying the counsel of two or three witnesses,  we may never grow into the person of God for whom  Christ died.

JD once more you have managed to cut and past so that this thread appears to be saying
something other than what I did say.  Let me put it another way -

I noted that Izzy did very well with Bill by using questions until they reached an impasse and Bill did
not become offended - neither did he take his ball and go home but the final outcome was the same.
Possibly Izzy has more grace in this area than I do but what comes naturally for her would be forced
and manipulative from me - what's more I would be violating my own conscience.  We each have
different gifts and I don't see the need to apologize for who I am in the Lord, for just being me. My
conscience is clear and I figure it is just as easy for you and others to resist the accuser and believe
the best of me rather than that I am deliberately being mean and nasty.   judyt

A scary admission that needs correcting AND the continued patient forgiveness of the Lord.

I am saying that if you cannot agree, consider that they are being sincere even if they are in
error, and with that in mind, very politely ask questions that will help them understand better
as well as help you understand them better.

I don't know how to do that Terry

A redundant question needing no reply at all.  Every member of TT knows the answer.

Let's get real here Terry ... Satan comes as an angel of light - so are you saying that it's OK to dispense
spiritual poison so long as one is nice, polite, and dosen't offend anyone?  That is how all cults begin....
