O.K. SQLite appears to not work with Windows 2000 (as discussed above). MySQL works but "setup.py install" fails when it attempts to use the C compiler included with dotNET (neither dorNET 1.1 or 2.0 works). This is due to the version os the MS Compiler python 2.4 (Windows binary) uses and I can not find the match for MSVC7.1.
