Just for the records, it seems the situation improved this week as Michael Pedersen is back and wants to work as project maintainer for TG2. I'll try to support him and I think if he also gets support from the rest of the community we can make TG2 going again, improve the docs and make everything more stable and attractive again. However, it will not work if people in the community lean back, rely on the few people who offer their spare time, only use the software but contribute nothing and only complain from time to time, as it happened too often in the past. We are a real community project and have no company backing. If the community stays passive in a consumer role only, it will not work. There needs to be a percentage of users who get and involved and care. And by the way, that can be much fun and you can learn a lot by actively contributing to open source.
As the first step, we'll try to consolidate and migrate the project development infrastructure from the old server to SF so we have a proper basis for working on the project again.
