It would depend (in part) on the background of Comers and Kutner, as in
where they worked prior to joining The Tonight Show staff.  If I were
Conan, I would have replaced at least a quarter of the writing staff to
bring in some fresh (but seasoned) voices.

Because it's not enough just to tell the same old guys that they need to
make some changes.  The same writers aren't going to be capable of
making the changes NBC wanted.  To make those changes, the show needed
some fresh voices.
        


But, to answer your question...of the 19 names listed as part of the
nominees for the WGA awards for the Tonight Show with Conan Obrien, 2
were not also listed as having written for him at Late Night (Josh
Comers and Rob Kutner). I will leave it to you if that qualifies as "at
least a few"...
